Confessing and Following Jesus: We Celebrate Baptism!

This year, more people than ever before have been baptized at RPMI. On June 28, 2026, after the church service, we headed to the nearby lake with 18 baptismal candidates and many brothers and sisters. The lake was busy in the best summer swimming weather, so there were plenty of additional onlookers and guests both in the water and along the shore. Our singing and praying baptism group was watched with curiosity and openness.

We rejoice over everyone who has made a conscious decision for Jesus – especially our teens, who have been following and faithfully serving Jesus for some time already and have now sealed their confession of faith through baptism. Our prayer for all the newly baptized is that they would put down deep roots in God, grow in faith, and remain in Christ!

But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.

They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NIV)
